Guide Look – A Blueprint for Ruins

A Blueprint for Ruins reverberates with the shadows of the dispossessed within China’s urban metamorphosis. The artworks guide us toward the remnants of memories woven into the very fabric of each structure, even as the walls crumble. As the artist Hu Weiyi poignantly writes: “It’s as if every abandoned building, about to disappear, is attempting to sing its last note, and eventually they will come together to form a requiem for an era.”

Lucy

Lucy written by Judith Neilson is a short story with some punch. A true story about a stray dog barely alive, adopted and eventually a lifesaver. A story hard and dark, a story bright and positive. A book that visually follows the story from dark to light and back again. In the french folds you’ll find beautiful line drawings created by Paris based Icinori. By no means an ordinary book in all aspects.

My Sister is a Martian

Written by Beau Neilson, daughter of White Rabbit Gallery owner Judith Neilson, when she was just 9 years old. The first edition was illustrated by Beau, and published in 1999. The fantastical story written by the 9 year old Beau, gives the reader the joy to look through the eyes of a young girl observing her older sister. Fantasy, facts and fiction are intertwined. This colourful book takes you on a visual journey of discovery, wonder and amazement. A visual celebration, as colourful and fun as the creative and magical mind of the ‘little Beau’ beautifully visualised by Hudson Christie.
