How much is entry to the White Rabbit Gallery?

There is no entry fee. It is free to enter the gallery.

How do I get to the White Rabbit Gallery?

The White Rabbit Gallery is conveniently located a short 10-minute walk from both Redfern Central stations, as well as the Railway Square bus terminal. If travelling by public transport, we suggest making your way to one of these options and using Google Maps to assist you the rest of the way.

Do you have parking?

No, we don’t have parking spaces available. There is on-street 2 hour metered parking in the Chippendale area. Alternatively, Broadway Shopping Centre has a car park offering the first 2 hours free of charge. Please note, Broadway is also a short 10-minute walk to the gallery.The closest disabled parking spots are at 71 Regent Street Chippendale and Myrtle Street Chippendale (between City Road and Paints Lane).

Do you have a map for the gallery?

No, we don’t have a map for the gallery. There are four levels of exhibition space: Ground, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. As you walk into the building, the exhibition begins to your right on the ground level. The building has stairs or a lift to access the upper levels. If you have any questions, please ask our friendly staff and they will happily offer assistance.

What are your opening hours?

Wednesday to Sunday between 10am-5pm, during exhibition periods.

How many exhibitions do you have a year?

We have two exhibitions a year, each running for approximately 5 months.The gallery closes between exhibitions, usually in May and November each year.

Do you offer public tours?

Yes, we offer public tours. They run Wednesday to Sunday at 11am and 3pm each day. While you don’t need to book for these public tours, we do suggest you turn up 5 minutes early and let our receptionist know you are interested.If you are planning to attend a public tour with friends, we kindly ask you to keep the groups small, to no more than 6 people.

Can I book a private tour or organise a large group visit?

No, we do not offer private tours or large group visits. Due to the size and limited facilities of our building, we do not host group visits of any kinds. The maximum amount of people that can be in one group is 6 people. If you want to know more, please find a letter here written by Judith Neilson.

Is there wheelchair access to the gallery?

Yes. We have wheelchair access into the gallery at the main entrance on Balfour Street. Our staff at the gallery entrance will be able to open these doors for you. Inside the gallery, there is a lift that can take you to all levels of the gallery. A wheelchair access bathroom is available on the Ground level of the gallery.If you need a wheelchair, we have one available that can be borrowed during your visit. Please let reception know and they will assist you.

Do you have a baby change room?

Yes, in the wheelchair access bathroom on the Ground level we have a fold down change table.

Is photography allowed in the gallery?

Yes, photography is welcome. We ask that you please refrain from using flash and bring no large equipment such as tripods into the gallery.

Do you have a cloak room?

Yes, we do have a cloak room which is free of charge. Please take any bulky items to the reception desk where they can be cloaked in lockers.

Can I bring food and drink into the gallery?

No, food and drink are not permitted in the gallery. Please finish your food and drink before you enter the gallery, or alternatively you can cloak these items at reception.If you need food or drink with you for medical reasons, please talk to our receptionist on entry.
