Bio

Kong Xi was born in 1981 in Qufu, Shandong Province, known as the hometown of Confucius and the cradle of traditional Chinese culture. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Ludong University in 2004. In 2013, he was awarded an MFA in printmaking department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, where renowned artist Xu Bing was his mentor. Kong experimentally incorporates his body movements into the art creation that reveals his interest in time. His work has been shown widely within and beyond China.
