DOB 1978
POB Sichuan, China
Bio

Trained in the innovation powerhouse of the Experimental Art Department of Hangzhou’s China Academy of Art, Liang Tao’s installations combine a dream-like fairy tale ambience with a Surrealist sensibility reminiscent of Meret Oppenheim. If these are fairy-tales, they are very dark, with sadomasochistic undertones. Transforming the sanctuary of the bedroom into a place of creeping, tentacle-like vines and monstrous, gigantic, hairbrushes, in Luofu Dream: Pink Pink she creates a characteristically melange of creepy and cute.
