Born in Hunan in 1992, Tan Yingjie’s work primarily consists of spatial installations, but also incorporates various media such as video, performance art, and textual images. His creations employ juxtaposition and grafting to introduce personal experiences into different specific spaces, thereby constructing multiple narrative structures and heterogeneous spatial experiences, while simultaneously extending the tactile sensations of the body within the space. In 2016 he graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Tan Yingjie currently lives and works in Beijing.
