Contemporary Chinese artist Tian Longyu was born in 1981 in Shandong province. He works across different mediums including sculpture, installation and painting. In 2002, he went to Tianjin to study at the Sculpture Department of the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 2007. In 2007, Tian Longyu moved to Beijing to pursue his career as an artist, becoming one of the many ‘migrants’ in the city. He currently lives and works in Beijing.
