Xia Han is a Chinese multimedia artist and gallerist based in Shanghai who runs the alternative art space ‘33ml Offspace’. Utilising video game engines as a medium, Han’s practice practices on technoethics, specifically regarding environmental disruption, organisms and information. Xia Han’s artistic endeavours revolve around the realms of computer games, consumer culture, and the ethical implications of technology. His creative practice predominantly employs game engines and video as the primary mediums for artistic expression. Xia Han attained a Bachelor of Fine Art from East China Normal University, China in 2016, and a Master of Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts, UK in 2019. He lives and works in Shanghai and Online.
