Contemporary artist Zhang Ting was born in 1999 in Ningbo, Zhejiang province. His practice encompasses installation, experimental video, and painting. His practice is connected to contemporary lived experience. The process often beginning with memories from childhood, revisiting and refining images and visual symbols that emerged in the 2000s. He obtained his B.A., School of Intermedia Art, China Academy of Art and M.F.A., School of Intermedia Art, China Academy of Art in 2024. He is currently (2026) completing his Master’s degree, Department of Painting, Tokyo University of the Arts, Japan. He currently lives and works in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China and Tokyo, Japan.
