Born in Dalian, China, in 1993, Zhang Wenzhi graduated from the Central Academy of Arts with a BFA in 2015 and with a MFA in 2018. Zhang Wenzhi creates collagesque ink paintings which interweave Chinese modern history, folklore, popular science, and archival materials.
