Zhou Jinhua

Bio

Born in 1978 in Sichuan Province, Zhou Jinhua studied painting at the highly regarded Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, one of China’s top art schools and alma mater of art stars such as Zhang Xiaogang. Zhou developed a unique style, playing with scale and perspective to create aerial views of tiny figures in surreal landscapes, sometimes painting on unusual surfaces such as building rubble, rooftiles, bricks, broken glass and wooden chopping boards. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Germany. Zhou Jinhua lives and works in Beijing.
