Bio

Chen Zhuo and Huang Keyi, friends since childhood, were both born in Changsha, Hunan. In their studies at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing they specialised in different fields: Huang Keyi studied printmaking, graduating with a master’s degree in 2006, while Chen Zhuo initially studied architecture before undertaking his graduate degree in Digital Media, also graduating in 2006. They developed a collaborative practice revolving around digitally manipulated photography. Each image, exploring what they see as ‘an age of craziness’, takes at least a month to complete in post-production.
