Born in 1999 Ella Wang Olsson (she/they/he/it) is a half Chinese half Swedish multidisciplinary artist who was born in Sweden and grew up Stockholm, Singapore and Shanghai. Drawing on a hyphenated Swedish-Chinese identity, they map a personal cosmology where ancestral tradition meets the club’s chaotic celebration. In this space, escapism and belonging collide to create pockets of awareness, beauty, and collective release. Between 2019 – 2022 Ella attended the Fine ArtsDen Haag, Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunstendiploma and in 2022 obtained their Double Degree: Art History (Art Media and Society) Leiden Universiteitdiploma. Ella currently lives and works in Shanghai.
