Born in Jining, Shandong Province in 1987, painter He Pengqi graduated with an MFA from the Mural Painting Department of Beijing’s Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2014. His work has been shown in group exhibitions including at the Stiftung Starke Foundation, Berlin (2015); ‘Creator’, CAFA Art Museum, Beijing (2015); ‘Connect the Heart and Hand with Lotus’, Chinese Cultural Ministry, Tokyo (2013) and ‘The Start of a Long Journey: The Collection of Excellent Graduation Works 20090-2011 from the Central Academy of Fine Arts’, Art@Golden Square, London and Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing (2012). His work is in the collections of the Xinjiang College of Fine Arts and the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and in several private collections. He Pengqi lives and works in Beijing.
