Huang Po-Chih

Bio

Born in Taoyuan, Taiwan in 1980, Huang Po-Chih graduated from the Graduate School of Art and Technology, Taipei National University of the Arts, in 2011. After studying as a painter, Huang turned to street art and graffiti, before focusing on digital media. Now, as a multi-disciplinary artist, he has explored issues such as agriculture, economics, production and consumption. His work has been shown widely internationally; he was shortlisted for the Hugo Boss Asia Art Awards for Emerging Asian Artists in 2015, and received the award for ‘Best emerging artist using installation’ at the 2016 Prudential Eye Awards. Huang Po-Chih lives and works in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
