Huang Wan-Ling

Bio

Huang Wan-Ling was born in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1980. She was awarded an MFA in Printmaking from the Graduate School of Plastic Arts, Taipei National University of the Arts in 2009. She is interested in Chinese and Japanese traditions of woodblock printing, producing an ambitious series of large-scale prints based on her experiences of travelling with friends, a kind of ‘floating world’ of images and impressions from places as diverse as Chongqing, Beijing, Taipei and the USA. Huang’s work has been exhibited in solo exhibitions in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan and Beijing. She lives and works in Taipei.
