Bio

Photographer Huang Xiaoliang was born in Jishou City, the capital of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, in Hunan Province, in 1985. He studied Digital Media at Qingdao University. Since graduating in 2009, he has been awarded several prestigious fellowships and prizes, including the Tierney Fellowship and Three Shadows Photography Award in 2010, and the Asian Pioneer Photographer Prize at the Dali International Photography Festival in 2012. His photographs and video works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in China, the United States and Europe. Huang Xiaoliang currently lives and works in Changsha.
