Lam’s works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Hong Kong and internationally. In 2012 Lam travelled to the United States on an Asian Cultural Council Fellowship. In the same year he was recognised for his outstanding contributions to the development of culture and arts by The Secretary for Home Affairs, Hong Kong.
