Bio

Lam Tung-pang was born in Hong Kong in 1978. Much of his work has been concerned with the fluid and changing nature of Hong Kong’s identity, and the position of artists in an increasingly contested space. He studied Fine Arts at the Chinese University of Hong Kong before undertaking an MA in Fine Arts at London’s Central Saint Martins College of Art, graduating in 2004. Lam’s works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Hong Kong and internationally. In 2012 Lam travelled to the United States on an Asian Cultural Council Fellowship. In the same year he was recognised for his outstanding contributions to the development of culture and arts by The Secretary for Home Affairs, Hong Kong. Works have been commissioned by the Hong Kong Legislative Council, and the Hong Kong MTR. Lam Tung-pang lives and works in Hong Kong.
