Wu Daxin
Wu Daxin was born in 1969, in Quanzhou, Fujian Province. He graduated with a degree in Japanese language from Huaqiao University in 1992, before studying Japanese Art History at National Saitama University in Saitama, in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area. In 2001, he moved to the United States to study video technology at The City University of New York, graduating in 2007. He is best known for works using ice as his primary medium, and was nominated for the Chinese Contemporary Art Award in 2009. Wu’s work has been exhibited widely, including a 2013 solo show, De Composure in Beijing. Wu Daxin currently lives in New York and Beijing.
