Bio

Contemporary artist Wu Lintong was born in 1996 in Shandong province. He has had experience in Public Art as well as Sculpture, working across a variety of different mediums. His practice often begins with overlooked, regulated, or standardised aspects of the everyday experience. He is interested in the relationships between the body, identity, systems, and materials. Rather than focusing on grand narratives, Wu Lintong’s work looks at the position of individuals within specific structures: how a person is recorded, classified, observed, and how traces of the self may still remain within these systems. In 2021 he graduated from the Department of Public Art, China Academy of Art and in 2026 he graduated from the Department of Sculpture, China Academy of Art. Wu Lintong currently lives and works in Hangzhou, Zhejiang.
