Born in Shanxi Province, China in 1979, Zhang Xuerui is one of the most active Chinese artists and has gained worldwide recognition. Her recent works emphasize on looking into the core nature of colour and space, while her installation series presents deep affection in human relationships. In the pursuit of art, she came to develop a strong personal character. Her works of art have been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions in China, Asia, and Europe. Zhang Xuerui currently lives and works in Beijing.
