Bio

Zhou Dong was born in Jiangsu in 1980. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Oil Painting department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2009. In 2013 Zhou Dong studied at New York Academy of Art and then returned to the Central Acadment of Fine Arts graduating with a Master’s degree in Oil Paininting in 2014. Zhou Dong is currently a doctoral candidate in fine arts at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He is fascinated by landscapes, and under his brush, he brings life to chaotic townlet scenes effected by rapid urabnisation. Through his works, he portrays developing China and the drastically changing Chinese society. Zhou Dong lives and works in Beijing.
